Feb. 27 Thu. LOS ANGELES TO DAKAR, SENEGAL; WEST AFRICA

                   Depart on Delta or South African Airways.


Feb. 28 Fri. ARRIVE DAKAR SENEGAL

Morning arrival in Dakar.  Transfer to your 4-star hotel.  After orientation, you can rest before lunch and the city tour.  Visit historical and cultural sites including grounds of the Palace, home of the president.

Mar.01 Sat. DAKAR TO GOREE ISLAND

After breakfast, travel by ferry to Goree Island, which was once a departure point for millions of Africans bound for the Americas. Visit the house where they were kept before departure.  Have lunch by the sea on the island. After lunch take the ferry back to Dakar and visit the sand painting gallery. Our students will find it interesting in how to use sand to make beautiful art. Enjoy a welcome dinner show.

Mar. 02  Sun. DAKAR TO PINK LAKE

This excursion takes you to the mysterious rose-colored body of water, the Pink Lake.  Experience floating in the lake while reading the newspaper.  Enjoy a breathtaking adventurous ride to the Atlantic Ocean over the sand dunes in a 4x4. Visit the Fulani village and experience the everyday life of the people. Savor a typical Senegalese lunch with live entertainment at Chez Salim.

Mar.03 Mon.  DAKAR TO SINE SALOUM

Early departure to Toubacouta.  We will travel south to Sine Saloum to overnight on the way to The  Gambia.  Learn the very active and exciting Saba, the traditional dance.

Mar. 04 Tue. SIN SALOUM TO THE GAMBIA

             Morning departure to The Gambia.  Check in to  your 5-star hotel.

       Tour of the city and we will go bargain shopping at Mama Tie-Dye & the Craft Market.

             Spend the day enjoying the wonderful property. Sun at the beach or take an optional tour.

Mar. 07 Fri. THE GAMBIA TO SALY RESORTS

Early morning departure for the Saly Resort.  Enjoy all of the things that a resort has to offer.  There will   be different activities available for our young people to learn and to enjoy.

Mar. 08 Sat.  SALY RESORTS

Enjoy a leisurely day.  Optional tour of the Bandia Game Reserve. Drive through the reserve and marvel        at the animals up Close. You will see Rhinoceros, giraffe, crocodiles just to name a few.

Mar. 09 Sun. SALY RESORTS

Enjoy a leisurely day.  In the evening, a Naming Ceremony and dinner.  What a great way to end this    wonderful trip by attending a great dinner and getting your African name that best describes the beautiful you.  After dinner leave for the airport for your flight home

VISAS: U.S. Citizens are required to obtain a visa for Senegal and The Gambia.  We will apply for our Senegalese visa before departure and get our Visas for The Gambia at the border.  Your American passport has to be valid at least until Sep. 2014.


MEDICAL: At this time only Yellow Fever innoculation is required for Senegal & The Gambia.  Malaria Pills are highly reccommended; but please consult with your doctor for directions.


SECURITY:Homeland Security requires us to send them pertinent information before you travel.  Therefore, we need a color copy of your passport picture page at the time you make your reservations.

          

DEPOSIT: To reserve your space a $500.00 deposit is due by OCTOBER 20, 2013 . Please see the attached sheet for Terms and Conditions. We are traveling during High Season and seats are limited.  Your reservation is based on a first-come basis.
